Shadow Effect Movie review

This movie is a must see for anyone who has ever blamed others for how they feel, has judged or made others wrong, has said they will never forgive someone or has tried to hide their pain or flaws. We can all relate to that at some level – can we not? It takes so much energy to repress the parts of us we see as wrong or flawed. In the movie, Debbie Ford, not only illustrates this so clearly, but explains the consequences of not working on ourselves to accept our shadows.

Debbie has gathered some amazing teachers, who impart their wisdom for our personal and collective transformation, including Deepak Chopra & Marianne Williamson. There are people at the top of their field in science, medicine, amazing coaches who bare their souls with their inspiring and moving stories, of courage and more – so much more. After viewing it at least twenty times, I am still glued to the screen. The underlying message is one of becoming whole, to love oneself –warts and all and the many benefits that will bring us – more love, joy, success, peace. All it takes, is the courage to look at ourselves with complete honesty.

Debbie & Martyn - London May 2010
